Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers
The Guild provides valuable information and guidelines for those actively involved in the Artisan Cosmetics industry.
In order to become a member of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers, there are requirements that need to be submitted and reviewed by the Guild. These include;
1. Proof that the products have been registered onto the government portal. All products must be registered with the Submit a Cosmetic Product Notification (SCPN). The SCPN is an online portal available at GOV.UKOne Login. This helps authorities track cosmetic products and potentially investigate safety issues.
2. Proof that the products have been assessed by a suitably qualified individual. Finished cosmetic products must undergo a safety assessment by a suitably qualified person, generally a toxicologist or biochemist, before they can be placed on the market. This expert evaluates the products ingredients, formulation and intended use to determine its safety. This must be documented.
3. Details of the business name, website, trading address, contact name and business email need to be submitted.
Katie Taylors & Co are proud to be members of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers adhering to the requirements mentioned above.
